Canarvon - One Mile Jetty stretches over mangroves towards the horizon.

Canarvon - OTC Tracking Station. During the 1960s, NASA set up a tracking station nearby to support the Gemini and Apollo space programs.
After Carnarvon we camped at Quobba Station for a few days.....

Hamelin Pool - Walkways permit visitors to view the stromatolites

Hamelin Pool - still visible today, wheel tracks of drays used by the early settlers to load produce onto ships moored in the bay.

Hamelin Pool - contains the most diverse range of stromatolites and microbial diversity in the world. Stromatolites are an example of the earliest record of life on earth.

Shell Beach and Shark Bay - the beach named because its made up entirely of cockle shells.

We arrive in Kalbarri, Murchison Station is our base for several days as we explore the sights of Kalbarri National Park, Murchison River and the spectacular coastal cliffs south of Kalbarri.
